What does Love a Great Story mean to you?

All of the best stories are love stories.

Zach Horvath, the founder of Live a Great Story and I (Sophie, founder of Love Intently) have talked about this quite a bit over the last few months… about how it’s never been just about romantic relationships.

It’s about our relationship with ourselves, friendships, family, the world, a higher power, work we do, the tribes we find ourselves in, in everything.

The older I am, the more I see Love or what others would call God, the divine, in everything. And it is. Darkness, the absence of light is maybe really the absence of love.

Looking back, all of my best stories are love stories.

They’re times when I just am the purest form of who I am. Sophie Kwok. When I actually let myself be seen.

They’re the 4:30 am nights rapping in the basement. It’s getting lost in the mountains. It’s becoming one with the ocean on a surfboard. It’s becoming a penguin on a mountain. It’s crawling in your besties bed sobbing. It’s looking in the mirror telling yourself, don’t run. It’s finally getting the help you need.

I created love intently because a younger me considered ending my life because I didn’t think that was possible. I came to a point where I thought I was more of a burden than a gift. The more loving thing to do was not to exist. I hated myself. I hated the mistakes I’d made. I hated that I hurt people.

Little did little Soph know, that she was already SO loved as she was, even if no one was saying it in a way she could hear it. So much love was to had. So much healing.

What’s crazy is the suicide rate has increased, not decreased.

Suicide is now the second-leading cause of death for Americans under the age of 35.

Our generation is facing a loneliness epidemic. It’s the belief the world, the people in their life would be better off without them. That they aren’t enough. People say its selfish, but for those struggling, it appears to be the most selfless act.

Which couldn’t be the furthest from the truth. It makes me tear up if I think about it long enough… that some people don’t make it to the other side.

What changed? I started asking why and I became aware. I started choosing differently. I started taking ownership and becoming the change I wanted to see in my relationships and life. I started letting people in on the journey with me.

Love Intently started as the biggest love letter to myself, and anyone who can relate, that love in every form really is possible for you.

But it starts with you, deciding to be the change you want to see in your life and relationships.

So when you ask ME the why behind our collaboration with Live a Great Story it’s that. We want to be a part of your journey in living your best story, which includes the thriving relationships of your dreams.

It’s really at the heart of EVERYTHING Love Intently and Live a Great Story does. It’s at the heart of everything Zach, and I do, to empower others to take ownership and create the great story they always dreamed of.
